HTML Guide

For those of you without HTML experience or knowledge here are some simple suggestions for HTML code to enhance your site.

BOLD - If you want certain text to be bold, use the following code before the text you want bolded and then use when you want the bold text to stop. For example:
If you want the word BOLD in bold you would do this.
And what you would see on your MessageCenter when you hit the update button is this -
If you want the word BOLD in bold you would do this.

LINE - If you want to draw a line, use this code

If you want a line separating this text you would insert the code

and this would place a line separating it from this text.
And what you would see on your MessageCenter when you hit the update button is this -

and this would place a line separating it from this text.

HYPERLINK - If you would like to insert a hyperlink to another website use this format (If you already have a website, this is great to have your patients return back to your web site after sending you their message.)-
The Text To Show As The Link for example:
Visit The Novartis Eye Center website.
And what you would see on your MessageCenter when you hit the update button is this -
Visit The Novartis Eye Center website.

ITALICIZE - to italicize text simply place before the text you want in italics and after.
When you want to emphasize text use this code.
And what you would see on your MessageCenter when you hit the update button is this -

FONT SIZE - to change the font size of specific text use the before the text and after. The "4" is the size, "1" will be smaller than normal, "2 is normal, and "3" and "4" will increase the size of the font.
This will create a headline sized Office Hours.
And what you would see on your MessageCenter when you hit the update button is this -

FONT COLOR - to change the color of the font use the before the text and after. The "000000" is the color code, "#FF0000" will be red, "#000000" is black, "#0000FF" is blue, "#008000" is green, and "#008080" is teal.
Use this code to change the color to red, and
use this code and to change the color to teal.
And what you would see on your MessageCenter when you hit the update button is this -

SPACES BETWEEN LINES - to place a blank space between two lines use the enter key. To place a space between the items on the Bulletin Board hit the enter key twice.
